Ejal 40: the sensible first injectable

At £150 a session it is the simplest way to find out whether your skin responds to injectable hydration — and for a lot of people it turns out to be enough.

There is a reasonable argument that most people considering their first injectable should start here. Not because Ejal 40 is the most powerful thing available, but because it answers a useful question cheaply: does your skin respond well to hydration delivered into the dermis rather than applied on top of it?

What it is

A hyaluronic acid skin booster. Hyaluronic acid is a molecule your skin already produces, capable of binding many times its own weight in water. Ejal 40 delivers it into the dermis in a form designed to hydrate rather than to hold structure.

The crucial distinction from filler: it is not cross-linked to hold shape. It will not create volume, define a feature or lift anything. It hydrates the tissue and improves how it reflects light.

What changes

What does not change: wrinkles caused by movement, laxity, pigmentation, or scarring. This is a hydration treatment and it stays in its lane.

The protocol

Three sessions, two to three weeks apart. Injected as a series of small deposits across the treatment area — a grid pattern rather than a few points. The appointment is 60 minutes including numbing.

You will have small raised blebs immediately afterwards, settling within a few hours. Occasional pinpoint bruising. Nothing that stops you going back to work, though most people prefer not to be photographed that afternoon.

First changes appear around two to four weeks. The result peaks after the third session and holds for roughly four to six months.

Cost

Price
Single session£150
Course of 3£400

The course works out at about £133 a session and is how the treatment is designed to be taken. At £400 for a full course this is the most accessible booster course we offer, which is precisely why it makes a sensible starting point.

Ejal 40 or Profhilo?

The honest comparison. Profhilo is £430 for its two-session course and does something Ejal 40 does not: bio-remodelling, which improves firmness rather than only hydration.

Aftercare

Who it suits

Late twenties through forties, skin that looks tired rather than aged, anyone whose main complaint is dullness and tightness, and anyone curious about injectables who wants to start somewhere low-risk and low-cost. It is also a good maintenance treatment between more substantial courses.

It suits less: anyone expecting a visible change in wrinkles or firmness, and anyone hoping for a single dramatic session. It is a course treatment with a modest, pleasant result.

Common questions

What does Ejal 40 do?

It delivers hyaluronic acid into the dermis to hydrate the skin from within, improving dullness, fine dehydration lines and how the skin reflects light. It does not add volume or treat wrinkles caused by movement.

How much does Ejal 40 cost?

At Polished Beauty London it is £150 for a single session or £400 for the recommended course of three — the most accessible booster course we offer.

How long does Ejal 40 last?

After a course of three sessions, results typically hold for four to six months before a maintenance session.

Is Ejal 40 the same as filler?

No. Filler is cross-linked to hold its shape and create volume. Ejal 40 is not cross-linked — it hydrates the tissue rather than structuring it.
