Clinic Policies

Version 1.0 · Polished Beauty London · Last Updated: June 2026

These policies exist to protect your safety and wellbeing and to ensure we can provide the highest standard of care to every client. By booking with us you confirm that you have read and agree to comply with the policies below. If you have questions before your appointment we are always happy to help.

1. Appointments and Consultations

All new clients are required to complete a health questionnaire before their first appointment. Please complete it honestly and in full — it is the foundation of your safe treatment journey.

For many treatments — particularly injectables and regenerative therapies — an initial consultation is required before treatment. The consultation allows our practitioner to assess suitability, understand your goals, and create a personalised plan. A £30 deposit secures your consultation and is fully redeemable against any treatment.

Please aim to arrive a few minutes early. If you are running late, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we may be unable to extend your appointment into another client’s time.

2. Treatment Suitability Assessment

Your safety is our highest priority. Before proceeding with any treatment our practitioner will carry out a thorough assessment covering your relevant health history, current medications, known allergies, skin condition, and treatment goals.

We reserve the right to decline or postpone any treatment if, in the professional judgment of our practitioner, it is not safe or appropriate for you at that time. This will always be explained clearly. Where possible we will suggest suitable alternatives.

Our practitioner’s professional judgment is final in all treatment decisions. Their priority is always your wellbeing.

3. Age Restrictions

All treatments at Polished Beauty London are available to individuals aged 18 years and over only, without exception and regardless of parental or guardian consent. We may ask for proof of age at any appointment.

4. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Many of our treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please inform us before your appointment if this applies to you. Our practitioner will advise which treatments, if any, can safely proceed.

The following treatments are contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding:

  • Anti-wrinkle injections (Botox, including Masseter Botox)
  • Skin boosters and Profhilo (hyaluronic acid-based injections)
  • PRP — Platelet-Rich Plasma (Vampire Facial and Hair Restoration)
  • Polynucleotides and Exosomes
  • Radiesse Biostimulator
  • Fat dissolving treatments (Lemon Bottle, Lip Lab)
  • Skin peels (Green Peel Energy and Classic)
  • Vitamin injections (B12, C, D, Biotin, Glutathione)

This list covers our current treatment menu. A full assessment will be carried out at consultation for any client who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

5. Medical Conditions and Medications

Please disclose all relevant medical conditions and current medications — including prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, supplements, vitamins, and herbal remedies — at consultation and again before each subsequent treatment.

Conditions and medications that may affect treatment include, but are not limited to:

  • Blood-thinning medications (aspirin, warfarin, certain supplements such as fish oil and vitamin E)
  • Autoimmune conditions (such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
  • Active skin conditions in or near the treatment area (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, active acne)
  • History of cold sores or herpes simplex (particularly relevant for lip treatments)
  • Recent or planned surgical procedures
  • History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
  • Current cancer treatment
  • Immunosuppressive conditions or medications
  • Known clotting or bleeding disorders

If you are unsure whether something is relevant, please mention it. We would always rather know.

6. Allergies and Contraindications

Please disclose all known allergies — including to foods, latex, medications, or skincare ingredients — as part of your consultation. This information is critical for your safety. Key treatment-specific considerations:

TreatmentAllergy Consideration
Skin boosters & ProfhiloContains hyaluronic acid — disclose any known reactions
PRP (Vampire Facial / Hair)Requires a blood draw — disclose relevant conditions or needle phobia
Vitamin injectionsDisclose reactions to B vitamins, vitamin C, D, biotin, or glutathione
Skin peels (Green Peel)Disclose sensitivity to active botanical or herbal ingredients
Fat dissolvingDisclose relevant skin or injectable sensitivities
HydrafacialsDisclose any active skin conditions or sensitivity to exfoliating ingredients

7. Patch Testing

Certain treatments require a patch test before the full session to identify any risk of allergic reaction. If required, you will be informed at booking or consultation. A separate patch test appointment will be arranged in advance of your treatment date.

We cannot proceed with treatments requiring a patch test until a satisfactory result has been obtained. This requirement cannot be waived. It is in place for your protection.

8. Professional Photography and Consent

Professional photographs — taken to document your treatment progress as part of your client record — are a routine part of most treatments. Before-and-after photographs are taken as standard. These are stored securely and are not shared externally without your consent.

Where we wish to use your photographs for any other purpose — including on our website, social media (@polishedbeautylondon / @polishedbeautyglow), printed materials, or portfolio case studies — we will always request your separate, explicit, written consent before doing so.

  • You are free to grant or withhold consent for external image use
  • Withholding consent has no effect on the care and treatment you receive
  • You may withdraw consent for image use at any time by contacting us in writing

We do not permit clients to photograph or film our practitioners or treatment environment during appointments without prior agreement.

9. Chaperones

You are welcome to bring a trusted person to your appointment for support. Please let us know in advance as our treatment rooms have limited space. In certain circumstances our practitioner may request a chaperone be present — if so, you will be informed in advance.

10. Children at Appointments

For the safety and comfort of all clients we kindly ask that children under 16 are not brought to treatment appointments. Our clinic environment is not suitable for children to wait unattended. If you cannot make alternative arrangements, please contact us in advance.

11. Client Behaviour

We are committed to providing a calm, professional, and inclusive environment for all clients and team members. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour that is aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or sexually inappropriate. We reserve the right to end an appointment and refuse future bookings if a client behaves inappropriately. Deposits paid will be forfeited in such circumstances.

12. Treatment Aftercare

Aftercare instructions will be provided after each treatment, verbally and/or in writing. It is your responsibility to follow this guidance. Failure to do so may affect your results and, in some cases, your safety.

  • Do not apply make-up, perfume, or active skincare to the treated area unless advised
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for the period specified
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 50+ on treated areas during recovery
  • Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated area unless instructed

If you experience unexpected symptoms following a treatment, contact us immediately at +44 7802462792. For serious medical concerns, contact NHS 111 or attend your nearest A&E department.

13. Results Disclaimer

Aesthetic treatment results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. Outcomes are influenced by individual biology, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and adherence to aftercare guidance.

Our practitioner will always provide honest, realistic expectations before any treatment proceeds. We do not promise specific outcomes. Any photographs used in our materials represent individual results and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of the same outcome for all clients.

Our commitment is to deliver our best possible skill and care for every client, every time.

14. Treatment Refusal

We reserve the right to decline or stop a treatment where:

  • Our practitioner has safety or suitability concerns based on your health information
  • You are unable or unwilling to complete the required questionnaire or consent form honestly
  • You appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of appointment
  • You are under the age of 18
  • Our practitioner has concerns about the appropriateness of the request
  • A required patch test has not been completed or has produced an adverse result
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding and the treatment is contraindicated
  • You have been abusive or inappropriate towards our team

Our practitioner’s professional judgment is final. A refusal will always be explained clearly and respectfully.
